Food Magic Eating Out

One of my absolute favorite places to frequent is Le Bateau Ivre Cafe/Restaurant, which loosely translated means the drunken boat.

They have everything I could want from a nice organic dining experience with a menu that offers a variety of tasty meals and excellent deserts, to a full bar and wine menu, to a full coffee bar experience. And the techie in me gets to enjoy free wifi. Pure bliss!

They also have live entertainment on Wednesday evenings that offer a nice variety of ethnic music and performances.

Le Bateau Ivre,  began in 1972, and occupies a converted French home and stable built in 1898, with small additions c. 1932.

They are located on the corner of Telegraph and Carleton, across from Andronico’s “Park and Shop” grocery, at 2629 Telegraph Ave, Berkeley, California.

Their phone number is (510) 849-1100, and you can email them at: Hello@LeBateauIvre.net.

If you find yourself in Berkeley, California, I highly recommend you visit Le Bateau Ivre.
